ActiveCampaign is a marketing automation platform for email, SMS and customer journeys. Connect it to Reggiee and every new registration is added to ActiveCampaign automatically, with first name, last name, email and phone number, and subscribed to the list you choose for that event.
Step 1: Find your API URL and API key in ActiveCampaign
- Log in to your ActiveCampaign account.
- In the left-hand menu, click Settings (the cog at the bottom).
- Click Developer.
- Under API Access you will see two values: URL (for example
https://youraccount.api-us1.com) and Key (a long string of letters and numbers). - Copy both. You can click the key to reveal it, and use the copy icon beside each value.
Your API key gives full access to your ActiveCampaign contacts. Reggiee encrypts it at rest and never shows it again after you save it. Only share it with people you trust.
Step 2: Create a list in ActiveCampaign
- Go to Lists in the left-hand menu.
- Click Add a list.
- Give it a name such as Anjunadeep Malta 2027 early bird and complete the sender details ActiveCampaign asks for.
- Save the list. You do not need to copy its ID: Reggiee loads your lists and lets you pick by name.
Step 3: Add your key to Reggiee
- In Reggiee, open Integrations from the left-hand menu.
- Find the ActiveCampaign card.
- Paste the API URL and the API Key from Step 1.
- Click Test key. You should see a green success message.
- Click Save ActiveCampaign.
The key is stored encrypted. After saving you will only see the first few characters so you can recognise which key is connected. To replace it, paste a new one and save again.
Step 4: Choose the list on your event
- Open your event in Reggiee and go to the Integrations tab.
- Switch ActiveCampaign on.
- Use the List picker to choose the list from Step 2. Use the refresh arrow if you just created it.
- Save the event.
Each event can send to a different list, so you can keep early bird sign-ups, loyalty sale sign-ups and other events separate.
What gets sent
- Email, first name, last name and phone number (when you collect them on the page).
- If the person already exists in ActiveCampaign they are updated, not duplicated.
- They are subscribed to the list you selected. If they unsubscribe through Reggiee, they are unsubscribed from that list in ActiveCampaign too.
- Only people who agreed to receive marketing emails on your page are sent to ActiveCampaign.
Troubleshooting
- The test says the key was rejected. Copy the key again from Settings, then Developer, and make sure there are no spaces before or after it.
- The URL is not accepted. It must look like
https://youraccount.api-us1.com. Copy it from the Developer page rather than from your browser address bar. - My list is not in the picker. Click the refresh arrow beside the List label. If it is still missing, check you are using the key from the same ActiveCampaign account.
- A registration did not arrive. Open the registration in Reggiee and check its integration status, which shows the message ActiveCampaign returned.
